Sample Itinerary Overview

Day 1 — Arrival in Bozeman

Arrive in Bozeman and transfer to our lodge near Yellowstone’s north entrance.

After check-in, we gather for a welcome dinner and trip orientation. If timing allows, the evening may include a short wildlife drive.

Overnight: Northern Yellowstone gateway lodging

Day 2 — Lamar Valley Wildlife Experience

We begin early in Lamar Valley, one of the most active wildlife regions in North America.

Possible sightings include:

  • bison

  • elk

  • pronghorn

  • bears

  • wolves (seasonally possible)

Frequent stops allow time for observation, photography, and interpretation of the landscape.

Overnight: Northern Yellowstone gateway lodging

Day 3 — Mammoth Hot Springs & Northern Range

Explore Yellowstone’s historic northern district, including:

  • Mammoth Hot Springs terraces

  • Roosevelt Arch

  • Yellowstone River corridor

  • Tower Fall region (conditions permitting)

Evening scenic photography opportunities available.

Overnight: Northern Yellowstone gateway lodging

Day 4 — Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone & Hayden Valley

Travel south into Yellowstone’s canyon country.

Highlights include:

  • Upper Falls

  • Lower Falls

  • Artist Point

  • Hayden Valley wildlife corridor

This region combines dramatic geology with strong wildlife viewing potential.

Overnight: West Yellowstone or interior park lodging (final property announced later)

Day 5 — Old Faithful & Grand Prismatic Spring

Explore Yellowstone’s geothermal heart:

  • Old Faithful

  • Upper Geyser Basin

  • Grand Prismatic Spring

  • Fountain Paint Pots

Lighting conditions and crowd timing guide the day’s structure whenever possible.

Farewell group dinner in the evening.

Day 6 — Return to Bozeman

Morning return toward Bozeman with optional scenic stops depending on departure schedules.

Airport transfers included.

Travel insurance is required for participation in this trip. Guests may select any provider they prefer. Coverage should include trip cancellation protection and emergency medical coverage while traveling.
